A Piplup and Skitty approached two large trees in the Cherry Woods. The Piplup, Kara, was ready to train herself. The Skitty, Mia, however wanted to talk and chase her tail. "MIA! QUIT CHASING YOUR TAIL AND TRAIN!!!" Kara yelled at her partner in annoyance. Mia, ignoring her, continued playing with her tail and responded. "Aw come on Kara! Where's your sense of recreation? And I technically AM training! I am testing my speed to see if I can catch my tail!" Mia said making a stupid, yet good point. Kara sighed. "Fine... Let me know when you want to spar..." Kara said giving up on her partner. Kara faced one of the large trees and started punching it. "My goal is to knock off as many cherries as I can... If I can know over twenty bunches then I'll be very happy!" Kara thought to herself as she punched the tree.

A particularly strange Meowth wandered into the woods. On her head sat a Jester hat and she seemed to parade around on her two legs holding a staff like object. The bells on the hat jingled and she sang aloud,
Come one come all
Children, adults, whatever you be
For good ol' Lily got a good one you see!
A tale of vigor, vhim, and adventure!
A tale that's as long as my tail
Oh please, you say
Oh me oh my!
But be careful young men
Cause I know I catch you eye
Mmhmm hmm mnmm
Haha hee hee
Adventurer's three there be!
The song, however was cut short when she noticed a Skitty and Piplup so she wandered on over. A wide grin on her face as she leaned her head to the side watching as the Piplup seriously pounded on the tree. "My my, aren't you a mean one. What did the mean ol' tree do to you? Oh, don't tell me about some Druids either."

Kara turned around quickly, startled by the Meowth. "AH!!!" Kara yelped as she toppled over on her back and hit her head on the tree. Mia hurried to her friend. "OMG ARE YOU ALRIGHT KARA?!" Mia said loudly and annoyingly. Kara stood up with a large bump on her head. "OW! I'm fine... Uh... Sorry about that. You startled me... You see I was training and..." Kara was cut short by her partner. "OH KARA! I KNEW YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN HITTING THE TREE!" Mia said jokingly. Kara got even more annoyed. "MIA! SHUT IT! You didn't object to it earlier! And besides, I wouldn't be punching the tree if you would've been my sparring partner!" Kara started yelling. Mia was still smiling. "Uh... Sorry, we argue a lot, I'm Kara and this is Mia. Who are you?" Kara asked the Meowth calmly.

"Eh?" The meowth looked them over slowly. They certainly did seem to fight a lot. They were pretty odd, but then again she had seen her share of odd people. "You two look really close." The Meowth observed, putting a finger on her lip. They asked for who she was. "Hmm.. who am I? H-uh... I guess Petunia works. Yeah. Petunia. I'm a traveling storyteller." She told them, a small smile on her face.
By the looks of it, "You two must be a rescue team. There are a lot of them these days. Must be nice..." She said softly, one of her ear's twitching a bit. Her hometown, her family were all great warriors, she recalled.

"Petunia? Nice to meet you." Kara said trying to be polite. Mia smiled even larger. "We just started a Rescue Team! I didn't realize we were able to be identified that easily!" Mia said happily. Kara was annoyed. "As much as I like her, she is quite annoying sometimes... But she's still my best friend so..." Kara was going to continue, but before she could she was tackled by Mia. "WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!" Kara exclaimed pushing her friend off. Mia smiled. "I like you too! But you're not annoying at all!" Mia said happily. Kara once again almost forgot that Petunia was there. "Oh, you said you were a storyteller? That's pretty neat. I've tried writing stories before and none came out so good..." Kara said sadly. Mia was fascinated with the story teller. "Can I hear a story?" Mia said innocently. Kara was once again annoyed of her partner's stupidity. "Mia! We shouldn't keep nagging her!" Kara said. She wasn't trying to be rude, but Mia was acting like a child.

Oh, now they did it! The Meowth smiled brightly and started to go off telling a story.
[spoilers]"A miller fell slowly but surely into poverty, until finally he had nothing more than his mill and a large apple tree which stood behind it. One day he had gone into the forest to gather wood, where he was approached by an old man, whom he had never seen before, and who said, "Why do you torment yourself with chopping wood? I will make you rich if you will promise me that which is standing behind your mill."
"What can that be but my apple tree?" thought the miller, said yes, and signed it over to the strange man.
The latter, however, laughed mockingly and said, "I will come in three years and get what belongs to me," then went away.
When he arrived home, his wife came up to him and said, "Miller, tell me, where did all the wealth come from that is suddenly in our house? All at once all the chests and boxes are full, and no one brought it here, and I don't know where it came from."
He answered, "It comes from an strange man whom I met in the woods and who promised me great treasures if I would but sign over to him that which stands behind the mill. We can give up the large apple tree for all this."
"Oh, husband!" said the woman, terrified. "That was the devil. He didn't mean the apple tree, but our daughter, who was just then standing behind the mill sweeping the yard."
The miller's daughter was a beautiful and pious girl, and she lived the three years worshipping God and without sin. When the time was up and the day came when the evil one was to get her, she washed herself clean and drew a circle around herself with chalk. The devil appeared very early in the morning, but he could not approach her.
He spoke angrily to the miller, "Keep water away from her, so she cannot wash herself any more. Otherwise I have no power over her."
The miller was frightened and did what he was told. The next morning the devil returned, but she had wept into her hands, and they were entirely clean.
Thus he still could not approach her, and he spoke angrily to the miller, "Chop off her hands. Otherwise I cannot get to her."
The miller was horrified and answered, "How could I chop off my own child's hands!"
Then the evil one threatened him, saying, "If you do not do it, then you will be mine, and I will take you yourself."
This frightened the father, and he promised to obey him. Then he went to the girl and said, "My child, if I do not chop off both of your hands, then the devil will take me away, and in my fear I have promised him to do this. Help me in my need, and forgive me of the evil that I am going to do to you."
She answered, "Dear father, do with me what you will. I am your child," and with that she stretched forth both hands and let her father chop them off.
The devil came a third time, but she had wept so long and so much onto the stumps, that they were entirely clean. Then he had to give up, for he had lost all claim to her.
The miller spoke to her, "I have gained great wealth through you. I shall take care of you in splendor as long as you live."
But she answered, "I cannot remain here. I will go away. Compassionate people will give me as much as I need." "[/spoiler]
By the time she got to that point in the story, the Meowth hit her chest and cleared her throat. Acting out the voices and making sure the story sounded just right and just as amazing took work! Also, she had to leave the audience wanting more. "Aaaand we'll stop here for now. I'll tell you more later."

Kara and Mia were shocked at how... Mature the story was. "W-Wow... Nice story, but a bit advanced for my friend here..." Kara said nervously for her friend, who was bawling. "WHY DID THEY DO THAT TO THE GIRL?!" Mia screamed. Kara slapped her forehead. "They said why in the story!!! Oh never mind..." Kara said. Kara looked at Petunia. "I must say however, your acting skills were great! It's almost as if you WERE the characters themselves!" Kara said impressed.

The Meowth seemed to brighten with happiness and did a little dance. "Why thank you! It IS my job you know!" She chimed and then flashed the two of them a bright smile. "Next time you know to specify what king of story you WANT to hear. Otherwise I'll just start off with what's on my mind."

Kara sweat dropped. "OK, I'll be sure to remember next time..." Kara said nervously. Mia finally got over her bawling and started chasing her tail again. "WHEE!!!" Mia laughed and played. "I wish she'd be a little more serious sometimes... Oh, are you part of a Rescue Team or anything?" Kara asked Petunia.

"Nah, nah. Unaffiliated my dear." The Meowth did a bit of a bow and took off her jester hat in the meanwhile. "You see, I am more of a runner and damsel in distress then a fighter." The Meowth then did a little spin and flashed a smile. "One day, one day a handsome and charming, prince like Pokémon shall be mesmerized by me and sweep me off my feet and protect me from all dangers!" She announced, sticking her arm out into the air to give a more dramatic effect.

Kara smiled. "I used to be like that... But one day, I decided I would be independent and train myself to be the strongest I can be!" Kara said raising her arm in the air. Mia giggled. "I'm kind of like that myself. I just want friends though. I want to be famous!!!" Mia smiled. Kara was annoyed once again. "That is not anything like it..." Kara said disappointed in her friend's stupidity. "Say do you know anywhere we can train that would be secluded, but yet very efficient?" Kara asked Petunia. Kara wanted to train some more.

The Meowth nodded and the poked Kara's forehead smiling. "The mind is a powerful thing. Knowing yourself is half the battle they say. Doesn't help that learning to strategize helps I hear." She told her, at least back at home is what she heard. "As for physical strength... well I wouldn't have a clue. I'm not from around here."

Formation was upheld as Team Captivate, the rogue criminal team, proceeded through the forest in search of legendary treasure that would match their beauty. The girls seemed to creep quietly through the reeds of tall grass and bush bases, and there was no doubt in their skills. Espeon, leader of this notorious team, padded alongside Ninetails, a fellow member. Behind them was the large Milotic who snaked through the undergrowth like a serpentine creature. Espeon and Ninetails were upholding a good conversation as a large ruckus was heard, and a tree nearby shook, releasing cherries unto Ninetails' head.
Espeon's ears pricked, and she gazed towards where the commotion was heard, "Hm. What on this living planet could that of been?" The eyes shone at the magnificent thoughts of unruly Mankeys that commonly inhabited this area, and how they could easily push them about with their psychic attacks.
Ninetails ruffled her fur, tails spreading apart as a short-tempered growl was summoned up from the base of her esophagus, clearly infuriated with the fact that cherries had rained down upon her skull, "Obviously someone who wants to be messed with! To even think about the possibility that someone purposely did this to the lovely Team Captivate is believable!" Snarl rippled through her lips, and she gazed about with her pupiless red optical lobs, as if she would spot the trouble-makers.
Milotic gave a sigh, then turned her head towards the south, instructing casually, "Hush, now. The vibrations came from that direction, so, obviously, we'll find whatever caused this problem." She gazed down at Ninetails and laughed, "Seriously, Ninetails. Nothing against us is ever a serious offense. If it is to be taken personal, nothing shall stand in our way! We're Team Captivate, the bandits and outlaws! Nothing can stand in our way of treasure and revenge!" She began to snake through the brush, then opened up to let Espeon and Ninetails take the lead.
It seemed like only a few moments had passed before they heard the sound of a Meowth. Espeon shook her pinkish purple fur then proceeded through the trees, Ninetails and Milotic behind her. Her blood red gem glinted in the bright sunlight, and she gave a casual tone, "Why yes. The mind is a marvel, isn't it? It is the sole commander in the vessel you stand, and it is the sign of intelligence." Her eyes gazed throughout, only to rest upon the jester hat the Meowth had. She felt all of her energy wanting to take it, but she fought down this urge. She mustn't let her team steal anything before they recognized the lovely beauties that danced in.
