Ah, the first of November. Already the air outside grows more chilly, but hopefuly everyone is so hyped up on Halloween candy that they can withstand the cold until they find their winter jackets! (And Lord knows I've been snacking on the left over candy we had to keep me awake through the night...)
Alrighty then. First, we have ourselves a decent sized forum now. And since we're slowly getting bigger and bigger, a staff reorganization was called into order by Talim and myself. We debated this to ourselves for awhile before coming to a conclusion on it. This reoganization is a decent sized one for only Talim, Bulby, and myself did not change our rankings. Everyone else was either promoted, or demoted. We'll work from the higher ranks and work our way down the ladder to the newcomer staffs.
First, Clario was demoted from Rescue Team Offical to Rescue Team Mod.. He has been rather inactive for a long while, making the bulk of his apperances only on the weekends. Though he is a good staff member, we simply thought that someone else could make better use of his powers since he's not on all that much. But if his activity picks up and he does the Mod. spot well, he can easily make a come back.
Next is Torrey. He's been promoted from Rescue Team Mod. to Rescue Team Offical. You can pretty much say he swapped spots with Clario... but Torrey has been an active member as of late, and seen doing his Mod. job well. Even if Clario wasn't demoted, I believe Torrey would've recived this spot anyway. I am a tad bit worried about where he is right now though, since he hasn't been on in a week... but maybe he was just grounded. I'm sure he's fine.
After Torrey comes Dante. He's been spotted throughout the forum trying his best to remind members of the rules and reporting things to us that are beyond what little powers he has as a Trainee. To reward him of his work, he's been promoted to Rescue Team Mod. and has much more power now.
Lastly of the old staff is Topaz. AKA- CM8. I really hate saying this, but he's shown very little interest in his Trainee spot since I gave it to him. I know I talked to him on a number of occassions what boards he would like to moderate, but I always got the feeling he tried to avoid the topic. I really haven't seen him do much on making sure members were in order with the rules. Because of this, I made the decesion of removing him from the staff list. However, if he really, really wants his spot, he can contact me and Talim on MSN and we'll discuss the situation further.
Well, that takes care of the older staff members, so let's welcome our two newest members to the staff list- Sasha and Riolu!
Sasha has been with us for a long while now, and always seemed to let off the cute girl charm. However, she does take the site seriously and reported to have been there to remind members to abide the rules. Because of that and her good patronage to the site, she has earned herself a spot as a Trainee. (That, and we need more girls on the staff. Talim is all alone up there with a bunch of guys.

Our second newcomer to the staff is Riolu. We are aware that he hasn't been here very long, but he comes to the site now and again to enjoy himself. The times he's been here, though quite, he acts very responsibly around other members and tries to stop fights when he sees them start to break out. He has been added to the staff because of his maturity and hopefuly to help him break out of his timid shell a little bit and be more open.
Sasha and Riolu, congratulations to you both. Do good out there or no brownies for you at the next staff picnic!

Anyway, a staff reorganization wasn't the only thing I have up my sleeve. There's some other things. First, the unimportant crap.
A couple of affilates, such as Sonic Rescue Team, have been removed do to inactivity or have been deleted. If the administrators of the removed sites do not agree with this (and somehow happen to read this), you can drop me an e-mail at the_rescue_squirtle@hotmail.com or just post in our Guest board. We will discuss restablishing our affiliation then.
Ok, so I didn't have as much as I thought I had, but this one is more of an F.Y.I. then anything. The other day, I was informed from a member that ProBoards will be updating every server on the system from version 4 to version 4.5. Don't ask me why they simply don't call it version 5 because I'm not the one who is incharge of server upgrading.
Anyway, I then checked out a beta testing of the PB server to see if we could upgrade to it. However, this was only a test thing and saw it's NOT the actual upgrade. The upgrade itself will come in due time, but I don't know when. Could happen while I'm typing this, could happen in a few days, could happen next year. I dunno, but it'll happen sometime soon is all I know of it. Because of that, some of our codes may glitch a bit, so don't be surprised if we have some downtime when our server gets upgraded.
And there is one other thing I'd like to mention, but I'm saving that for a whole 'nother topic! Won't be hard to find at all, so be sure you read it!
