First of all, no, this is not on account of me going to college (though you'd think it would be). My mind just wanders around like this every now and again.
So, take a step back and look at yourself- When was the last time you've done this? I do it every now and again, but I'm still always surprised because I tend to compare the me of now to the me from when I was, like, 8 years old. I just sometimes think where the time went by so quickly and it is all kinda weird sometimes.
I sometimes think it was just yesterday I was smashing in the face of a Thomas the Tank Engine pinata at my 8th birthday party and I go to sleep, waking up to what I am now. I'd scream if my addiction to Pokémon wasn't there.
And even with just the forum... damn, has it been almost 4 years since I created it already? And in a weird sense, I was 18 years old when I made this forum, a pitifully high age to not only be making an internet forum, but an internet forum about Pokémon. It is okay for a 13 year old, but weird for an 18, now 22 year old.
And how old was I when I first really got hooked to the net? 15 when I used to go to VGChat.com and thought hitting 100 posts should make me be promoted to Admin or something. Then I transferred over to Chao Club, became more savvy in terms of the internet, learned a bunch of stuff, had a lot of laughs, got in a lot of fights, went through hell and back, made friends, lost friends...
Whew. It is all so overwhelming sometimes, y'know. I just wonder where I'll be next time I look at myself by taking a step back (my guess will be in a college dorm room after 16 straight hours of Monster Hunter Tri online and I solo every beast in the game and I think to myself "why am I still a virgin?").

Well, myself, I'm not incredibly old. In fact, I'm probably one of the youngest active users here. But regardless, I can still reminisce.
I can still remember the first video game I'd ever played. No, it wasn't Pokémon, sadly. It was actually Banjo-Kazooie, which I got for my sixth birthday with my N64. I remember the evenings I would spend trying to get through the game with the help of my mother (she totally used to play video games with me, those were good times). Still to this day, Banjo-Kazooie is one of my favourite games, while the N64 is my favourite console.
I was introduced to Pokémon perhaps a year later when my neighbors (who were the same ages as me and my sister) let us keep one of their Gameboy Colors (it had no sound) and borrow Pokémon Red. I quickly got hooked and beat the Elite Four within a week (I had no life as a child). When Pokémon Gold and Silver were released at a later time, I was the happiest child in the world. Gen II easily became my favourite. Well, I guess it wasn't saying much then, as there was only two generations, but it still is today.
The rest was history. Obsessions came and went, but there was always a place in my heart for Pokémon, no matter what.
And then there was Rescue Team Chaotix. When I joined, about three years back, I think the only reason was to write an S.O.S. letter, hoping that I would be saved from some monster house in PMD1. Bulby (yeah, remember him?) responded very quickly and saved my ass from the depths of hell, or something like that. I then decided to look around the forums. At the time, RTC was a bustling little place, and I decided to join in on the fun and begin posting. It was the first forum I had ever joined too. Now that I think about it, I never did write an introduction. Heh. Heh...
And here we are. From time to time, I still like to go back about 20 pages in the General Board and think about the times I had here. I still cringe at how immature I was when I joined, but there are some good memories nonetheless.

Well, you're more mature than when I was when I got into the net. Of course, you've been around a little bit more on the net at your current age then when I was.
...then again, when I started to actually dabble on the internet a little bit, it was when I would visit my aunt in Toledo. I used to screw around on the internet, go to random chat room websites, and went by the name of "Alien From Uranus" because I thought it was so totally clever.

Well, myself, I'm not incredibly old. In fact, I'm probably one of the youngest active users here. Nope. That would probably be me. And because of that, I don't really have much to reminisce on. I wish I could go into some lengthy explanation about my life up until this point, but I really can't. I have no clue what my first video game was, but I think it was something on the Gamecube. Yeah, I'm that young. Anyway, I think it was Super Mario Sunshine, but not sure. My second was probably OracleOcarina of Time, on my cousin's collector's edition disc. Years later, I now have that same disc that got me into Legend of Zelda, in almost mint condition. My first Pokémon game... That was my cousin's too, and it was Ruby. Further supporting that I'm the youngest. After that, I got Sapphire, was hooked, and pre-ordered every mainstream Pokémon game since then, and the Mystery Dungeon ones too. As for this forum, I was introduced to it 3 years ago, and my first post was a gravedig in some topic about Brawl. Man, my posts were horrid back them. But I do miss a lot of the old members, like Shadow, Latios, Bulby, and a lot of others. Hopefully RTC will hit a high point again soon, but until then, there's, what, five active members? Six, maybe? Ah well. Let's hope for the best.

Missingno is younger than Blah, but only by about a week and a half to two weeks. So, does this mean, me who is 22 hanging out with a bunch of 15 year old guys online, makes me a gay pedophile...?

Okay, yeah, you're younger than me. Unless I'm secretly a nine-year old genius. What then?
And yes, Squirtle. Perhaps you are. I'm not going to decide this for you. xD

*Looks at Blah's age* ... ... ...Crap. He's older than me by a few months. Whatever, I don't usually care about age anyway, if a 22 year old and a 15 year old can still connect on a lot of issues, then it doesn't matter too much. Hell, a 12 year old and 30 year could be really good friends if they wanted to. Way back when, a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away, there was a lad who's father had just bought a nice little Nintendo 64. This lad played Mario Kart, Super Mario 64, and Super Smash Bros. very often, and loved his bliss little life. Later, closer to 2000, he got a Gameboy Advance where he subsequently picked up Red version. He played it, beat it, got Yellow, did the same, and then did it again with Silver. So much fun, he had, that he even got both Ruby and Sapphire a week or so after it came out. And ever since, he's been hooked on Pokémon. Then he got Mystery Dungeon, Red Rescue Team about three and a half years ago now. He fainted, and was rescued by a nice little Mexican named Jose. The boy stayed at the site where he was rescued in the game, and acted like an ass for about a year. That was because he was pretty new to the internet and the world of memes. After a year of strengthening his mind, he became a respectable person and became staff at this site, where he resides today. Yays for not speaking in first person. But really, when I think about how far I've come compared to ten years ago, I'm truly amazed at how I've advanced as a human being. We all had a blank slate, and I've been happy to say I've made the most of it and hope to keep on making the most out of life. I look forward to the end of high school in that it means I will have finally matured into an adult, but I also fear that day because I'll finally lose the bliss I have as a child. Growing up isn't easy, and I'm sure Squirtle knows this well. Anyway, www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruoRv8nzDZsBest philosophical video on age I've watched in awhile.

haha I'm 13 too. ^-^ I'm not goodat like, backgrounds and stuff, but I'm pretty sure my first video game was...one of those controllers you plug into the TV. ^-^" My first actual games were Tetris Worlds and Spy Hunter on the PS2. Those games were the best! Oh, and also Sims Theme Park for Playstation and Harry Potter 2...Those were the only games I ever playing until like, years later my cousins introduced me to the N64 and Gamecube! My first Pokémon game was my aunt's old Blue Version. Yeah, Blue. I had a Game Boy Color then and was SO lucky! Then i got Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue team, Pinball, Emerald,Fire red, Pearl, Explorers of Darkness, and Platinum. I think it was in that order too. ^-^ I actually ended up meeting Missingno cause we both played Mystery Dungeon. And Ookami too, but she doesn't count cause she's never on RTC anymore. XD
