Well, thinking things over is kind of natural for me. I did end up spending 20+ hours refining my team after a few bad attempts at Liza and Tate.

You do? I usually just level my Pokémon up to 45, then go back and abuse Surf, Ice Beam, and any grass move I have at the time.

That's what I ended up doing, even though I wanted to win a different way - break tradition. Eventually I said "@#$% it" and stomped them with my Sceptile (Leaf Blade) and Milotic (Surf, Ice Beam, Rain Dance).

Nope! I'm not even going to use a normal starter. I'm going to use a Beldum, a Lilleep, and a Skitty. Oh, and a HM Slave, but he/she won't do anything.

My favorite Pokémon types are Dark, Water/Ice, Fire, and Electric.

My favorite types in order would have to be Dragon, then Fire, then Dark, then Water, then Ground.

My least favorite type is Steel simply because if I'm not using my Blaziken I got no way to penetrate that defense. However, I do like the Aron evolution line.

My favorite is Plusle. I always laugh when I'm battling someone on Pokémon Colloseum, and my level 69 Plusle fries everything with Thunder.

Nice. I haven't used Plusle and Minun that much because they always seemed a bit weak whenever I saw them (usually in recurring battles with Pokefan Isabel).
I'm about ready to beat the Elite Four and as soon as I do I can get some of my Kanto/Johto favorites traded over for Frontier training.

I still have my first Hoenn team from when I was nine.
My Plusle is one of them, along with my Dodrio, and Wishcash.

FINALLY beat the Elite Four AND Wallace without a single Pokémon fainting. My Flygon and Sceptile got VERY close, though - Flygon had 1 HP left when Ludicolo went down!
*is overcome with emotion and happiness and starts to cry a river that he has his Milotic Surf*
