Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games

You know how everybody whose anybody wants to see Mario and Sonic beat the crud out of one another in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, right? Well, maybe that will happen, maybe it won't happen. But if it doesn't, we do know this...


Mario Mario of the Mushroom Kingdom and Sonic the Hedgehog of Mobius will be staring in a game together!

The title is the same as the name of the subject- Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games!

It's going to be based on the 2008 Olympic Games and will come out for both the Nintendo DS and the Wii. It's expected to hit stores around Christmas this year and will probably be a big hit!

Little is known about the game other than it's been cofirmed true by Sega (I haven't heard of anything from Nintendo at this point). One detail we do know at the moment is that Mario and Sonic are not the only playable characters. For Mario's team, we also have Luigi and Yoshi. And from Sonic's, we have Tails and Knuckles. They also reported saying that there will be other characters, and y'know what that means! Maybe Dr. Eggman and Bowser have joined forces to cause some trouble! THAT says fun right there!

However, though this is kick-ass news, wait a couple of days. April Fools Day is just around the corner and this could be one huge hoax... but if April Fools Day comes and goes and it's still cofrimed true, THEN you can really start spazzing out!

That's amazing! I would've never thought that Sega & Nintendo would have their characters together in a game.

I remember something back on Newgrounds. It was a flash movie, but it was a continuing story about the chaos emeralds coming to the mushroom kingdom. Super Mario Brothers Z, I think it was.

But aside from all that, WOW! Well, that's 4 games I want for my Wii now...

Actualy, this may be good evidence to support Sonic is in SSBB! This here shows that Nintendo and Sega have come to an agreement to place their biggest stars in the same game together. This may have been a sort of spin-off to Sonic appearing in Brawl when discussing the idea of Mario and Sonic.

Some people say it's a lame idea because it's the Olympics. I tell them to go kill themselves because it doesn't matter- Mario and Sonic are atlast together in the same game!

It's not a joke. It's been confirmed by Nintendo and Sega's respective sites. And using the olympic logo costs LOOOOOOOTS of money. They wouldn't go to this much trouble for an April Fools joke. But it sure is a shitty thing to do to release it around april and make us wonder and think if it IS a joke....=_<
