I used to be quite serious a few years back about playing Pokémon cards. I'm thinking that, once I move sometime this summer, I may get back into the hobbie... maybe.
Well, anyway, I used to be part of the Trading Card League. And where I went, I was one of the top players. I also collected some extremly rare cards! My three rarest would be, from least to greatest, my Golden Magikarp, Shining Mewtwo (triple star), and my holographic-first edition Lugia card. I also found a holographic Mew card in a booster pack about a year or so ago, but I didn't check into how rare it was.
Do you have any good cards?

You mean a promo card? Kinda like the super-rare "Ancient Mew" card?
*points to an entire mountain of Ancent Mew cards*
Really, not all that rare.
But I know at one point that my Lugia card was one of the most valubed and rarest Pokémon cards in the world. It was number 1 for about 6 months or something, if I remember. And yes, the English version.

Aye, but it's the first edition. Only so many of those were ever printed. They can re-print the card itself a million times over, but there will never be another batch of first editions.

Speaking of Japanese cards, I also have a Japanese Slowking and Suicune. I found the Suicune one lying on the floor of the school bus. It was in a case, so it's still in mint condition!

I have one of the old Entei promos. May not be very rare, even now, but I went to the movie with a friend, so it has memories.
