Just figured I'd run a poll separate from the main topic. What version from the upcoming fifth gen are you getting? Why so? The exclusive Pokémon? The areas? Maybe you just like the coloration of one as opposed to the other? Me? What? No, I wouldn't get both! I didn't do that with the last set! Okay I'll probably get both. I collect the games, and I don't have anything important to spend money on (insert foreveraloneguy image here), so it doesn't bother me much. I'm getting both in the vain hope that these games will seem like a true successor to G/S/C to me. Something about the third gen never clicked with me, and although the fourth gen was better, it wasn't as good to me. I am really optimistic about these new games. Might be the Pokémon games (outside of Gen II remakes) I've been hoping for for years.

I'll probably end up getting both but initially I'm going to get White.

Same here. I'm not planning on getting both as soon as they come out; I'll just get White, but after a while, I'll probably get Black.

Goin' for the second name. White. I've always liked the less popular ones, "Red and BLUE, Gold and SILVER, Ruby and SAPPHIRE," Only exception has been Diamond.

Blue, Silver, Sapphire, Leaf Green, and Pearl. I bought HG/SS at the same time. I mean.. I've always got both games in the end I always got the least popular one first. But I'm getting Black and White, White being my main game.

I'm getting Pokémon Black simply because black is cool.

Racist.
Okay, someone had to say it, sorry if I offended anyone. <_< I'm still getting white just to not get the main game.

I meant sorta with the fact black is a hip color and that it goes good with nearly any other color.

Ive said it before, but the reason I'm getting White is because I'm white. xD
I still prefer the color Black though.. even though White isn't a color.

Going for White since Zekrom seems more canon for the main character dude. That and White's my favorite color, yo.

White is technically every single color together so it is kinda saying "I LIKE RAINBOWS, ESPECIALLY DOUBLE RAINBOWS ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE SKY WHAT DOES IT MEAN"
I'm getting White in English. Yup.

But when you take the RGB color mix and have equal amounts of each, it's white.

White is absense of color. ;o No, Black is the absence of color. White is a combination of all the pure colors. If you were to take a top and have the 7 colors of the rainbow in their purest forms that you can possibly can, the result will be a white color. Or even if you were to take a multi-colored flashlight and two fabrics. The flashlight can show a number of primary colors while the fabrics are a white one and a black one. Shine any color you want on the white one: You get the same color back in full: That is because that color is present in the white. But shine the light on black, you're not getting anywhere near as much of the color back because black absorbs the colors, which is why it is an absence of color. Even just think of it when it is a hot day; Are you going to wear a light color or a dark color? Dark colors absorb more light energy than what they reflect, which is why people wear white more often on hot days; Because it reflects more energy, keeping you a bit cooler than if you wore a black shirt. I'm in Art College: I know what I'm talking about. ANYWHO I preordered my cop of Pokémon White at long last and have it all paid for. I also have preordered a copy of the 25th Anniversary of Super Mario Bros. since it is a limited time thing and that is already half paid off.
