Not just the internet: Real life.
And yes, now that I'm at college, I've been meeting a lot of Pokémon fans. And I mean a lot. Fucking everybody I run into is like "DUDE, YOU HAVE A POKEWALKER- I PLAY Pokémon TOO!" or "DUDE, AWESOME Pokémon HAT! WHERE DID YOU GET IT?!"
Oh, yeah, I have a new hat now. I got it for Halloween and wear it normally. I'm not usually somebody who likes to wear baseball caps, but this one I fucking love to death. What does it look like? It is a duplicate of Ash's new hat from the Black & White Pokémon anime. It was hand made by somebody in Ohio and I got it for, like, $12 bucks and the quality is awesome.
POKEWALKERS! POKEWALKERS EVERYWHERE!

Sounds like college is treating you well.
...
I hate eighth grade. I can't wait 'till I get to college.

Not at my college... but, I work at Walmart, and I get a lot of customers linking with me, from the 5 year old kid to a 70+ year old grandmother, I have to sync with the game several times a day just to get more!
I also get odd looks from the Shinx sitting on my car's dashboard, but its cool.

*looks over at his dresser top*
...I have a handful of toys just sitting there. Ranging from a few Pokémon plushies to my Pooh-bear. I also have Woody, Jessie, and Bullseye from Toy Story as well. Oh, and a Bucket O Soldiers. I love my toys.

I have a few Lego sets. Namely, a Death Star II model like this one: Oh, and a bunch of Bionicles, too.

I like to call the current time we're in as RETRO-spect. Anything that was once really cool from the 90s that we grew up with, some of the now retro stuff that we grew out of, are now back in and the cool thing. Pokémon, old Nickelodeon cartoons, Toy Story... those kinds of things. Old is the new new.

Hm, I guess you're right. I never really noticed that before. Probably because I was born in '97...

I also have Woody, Jessie, and Bullseye from Toy Story as well. Oh, and a Bucket O Soldiers. I love my toys. If you have the definitive versions (the most expensive that come in the cool "replica" boxes) I will be filled with envy everytime I log into this forum. I would have loved to gotten them, but they're so expensive...I could get a cheaper version, but the diehard Pixar fan in me would never vouch for anything less than the best. ...yes, Pokémon thread. Anyways, you'd be surprised how many people in the High School level are into Pokémon and hide it because it's "uncool". I've met people from the "geeks" to the "jocks", "preps" to the "stoners"...I could probably name at least 15 people from my school who still play the games that you'd never guess from looking at them. It is a shame people have to be so afraid to express things they have interests in. Me? I wear my PokeWalker proudly. If I get a laugh, screw them, I just got my Tyranitar to LV. 84, bitch.

Yes, I do. On Woody and Bullseye that is. Woody I would not settle for if it didn't have the pull-string and any cheap version of Bullseye simply wasn't worth it. I had to go for the full-sized duplicate of Bullseye, plush and floppy-legged and all. I wasn't going to buy some little 2 inch high plastic model of him: No way! And it took fucking forever to find the Bullseye I have and it was the last one, too! The only cheaper version I have is of Jessie, but that's just because I never knew she even had a pull-string... they never actually featured it in the movie! But what I really wanted was the Buzz Lightyear in the spaceship box! When I finally had the money for it, they were all sold out!

Yeah, Jesse's pullstring. Didn't know about it either until I spent about 20 minutes poring over all the boxes in Toys R' Us. I'm surprised that wasn't utilized in some fashion in Toy Story 2 really.
The Buzz Lightyear box is a nerdgasm. Seeing that cheesy drawing of Buzz with the quote from TS1's box...pure awesome.

Touche good sir.
And the whole nerds and Pokémon thing is really true around these parts, especially if you join the robotics team you'll notice it. I swear, more than half of us all play Pokémon and I gotta say, it makes things a bit more fun.
