Alright, first order of business. Torrey is
banned and killed in real life because only admins and G. Mods could update the Site Updates topic. given fifty million dollars and a lifetime supply of Mountain Dew because he was the only one awesome enough to remember to update the damned thing. But he's
a cheater so he'll probably revive by this evening anyway. almost cooler than even Chuck Norris, so he'll probably just kill me anyway for buying the wrong kind. Lousy eskimos... Awesome genius...Anyway, my update is this. Remember, like, a million months ago where I said I had a working favicon code? Yeah, since I couldn't see it, I've been trying to find a way for it to work ever since. I was told by someone else that they could see it, but I don't really know if that was true. He had the right image I was using as a Favicon though (the Squirtle in the box), but wasn't ever sure if it did work. Maybe it was a FireFox thing, I dunno. I used Internet Explorer. I since took it down.
But the other day while browsing ProBoards support, I looked through their FAQ and saw how to get a Favicon to actually work. So after some code splicing and all that jazz, I fitted ourselves with the new code an TAH-DAH! Favicon is truly working now!It should basically look like this for you with Windows XP and Internet Explorer 7.0

The idea of the list of eligible RP-ers for the LRP forum has been discarded for the idea of instead there being a blacklist of those who can't RP. Hopefully, this way, everyone will now seek to improve themselves and we'll see a lot more literacy out of the members after they've hung out in that forum for a while. Or, they could just end up not handling well there and getting on the list. Let's hope nobody is on it too soon, though!

In celebration of our 300th member, I made new fourth generation backgrounds for each of our skins. R.S. added a youtube code and a chat function as well. I will also be making new gradient bars for a few select skins, so keep your eye out on the "300" thread or this thread.

Well, I decided something. Since I've obviously been losing track of how many rescues we've done and kept forgetting about the whole "Rescuer of the Month" thing for... like, 3 months in a row. I decided to be rid of it and replace it. Yep. Since I have short-term memory, I decided to replace it with something more convenient.
Three major things have been added in it's place- Our Rules, Our F.A.Q. (Frequently Asked Questions), and our Affiliation Guidelines. This way, guests and new members to the site will automatically know where to look with ease. Hopefully, this will even get us some new affiliates as well, know that they know where to look.
Oh, and speaking of affiliates, I removed a couple again. This is because the admin said they give up on the site (and some of them looked really good, like Smash Country, but lacked a good administrator who didn't care) or simply deleted their site off the server. So, yeah.
...got a three day weekend this weekend, by the way. Awesomeness. Needed it. Work has been hectic.

Yeah, it was either here or "Staff Reorganization #4". But since it was only one little thing, I just decided to update this.
The other day while discussing a number of topics, we discussed Latios's inactivity. We remember that he said he was going to be gone for a while to only us staff and wanted to know if he would still have his spot. I said as long as he wasn't gone for a couple months, then he would still have his spot. That was over two months ago.
We discussed this and it pained us to do this, but we demoted Latios to Trainee level. He doesn't have the powers he once used to, but we still look forward to the day he comes back. Hopefully, even, he'll get his spot back.
...and no, we're not hiring. Sorry.

Well I've finally made the Hacking board that I'm sure some members have been dieing for. R.S. wanted to handle the stickies on his own, so he will do that. Anyway, about the rules of the hacking board. Anyone who posts there can do so without fear of someone coming in and flaming you. If someone does come by and do that, then they will be given a warning bar. That also means that any threads that are about hacking/cheating/glitches
outside of the hacking board may
NOT be permitted.
Sorry for not getting to this sooner, but my mom works all the time, and the weekend is her ONLY time off. She likes to spend time with her family which may include going to the movies, going to anywhere else, or enjoying a four-player game of bowling(as thats the only thing my brother can play on the Wii). I also got addicted to the Wii once more when i bought some more games and played some other ones I haven't beat. Sorry again for not getting to this sooner.

This is really supposed to be an update for the 26th, but I forgot to put it on here. Apparently R.S. combined the PBR board and the D/P board, so chat about all three games in that board now. Also, the Battle Stadium sub-board will be for both games. Because you can't trade in PBR, the Trade Center will still be only for D/P.

Ah, another worthy update. Two updates in the same month! PRAISE ME, Pokémon !!!
Yes, well, anyway, you'll notice we got a nifty little... err... BOX THINGIES around our mini-profile! I'm probably going to have to adjust the colors for that in a little bit, because it's sorta hard to see display names (like on the water skin). But hey, I saw this months ago on Chao Club and we had to have it. But I'm not cheap, so I tracked it down myself. I was looking for just ONE code, but wasn't expecting it to be TWO codes in reality! Man, no wonder I didn't find it sooner!
Yes, well, anyway, again, I'll be doing some other random crap and checking in how many successful rescue we ACTUALLY have. It's been 28 for... like, 3 months or something. =P

Ah, good to be back and helping out the site... Anyway, I found a code from PB Support (Kudos to their smart brains
) that adds the smiley tray to the quick reply. The code was glitchy though when i tried it out on my test forums, but I fixed it and added two smileys they forgot.
In the end, smilers can now easily put smileys on posts.

-Made an update for the first time in over a month!
Anyway, I added a few new things. One is a new code which centers our mini-profiles and stars so it looks a lot more appealing than everything crammed off to the left. And the second thing is that, for the male and female icons that appears on our profiles, I replaced them with little Nidoran
and Nidoran
pictures! Cute... I suppose. Tested them on all the skins and everything is A-OK. And the last thing I did was put up some new boards, reorganized them, and stuff like that so we can organize topics a little better.

-A major update that I've been meaning to do for a long time now, ever since I set up the site! We now have Squirtle smilies, custom made by me, of course. The uploading process was a pain, but it was worth it! I even went through and tested to make sure all smilies appear on each skin properly- no problems! So, enjoy!

-Just a little, mini-update. I inserted a code where something called a "Favicon" will show up with a little picture in the address bar up there. If you can't see it, then don't worry- neither can I. Some of our Internet browsers won't allow us to see it, but people with Internet Explorer version 7.0 or some version of FireFox should see it. But just so you can see what it looks like, I had someone take a screen shot of it for me since I can't show you myself.

-Thanks to Ryuji Kuro, we were able to get a custom banner for each of our skins! They blend in much better now, and things are really looking up! If you don't feel like looking through every skin to see the new banners, I'll just post them here! Enjoy!

-More images have just been added onto the site and onto every skin! Not only that, but we're also getting a new set of banners for each skin! The rest should be finished by tonight with all errors ironed out, but you can view the new banners we have so far on the Fire, Water, and Legendary skins. The new Plant and Default banners should be in tonight. Thanks to Ryuji Kuro from Chao Club for making these for us!
Also, as I said before, we have a few new images. You can notice them right away when you see them as a guest and after you log in. They're on every skin now, despite appearance. That means these little Squirtle links will even be on the fire and plant skins. 2 ,main reasons.
1- Squirtle is the site's official mascot.
2- I'm too lazy to make the other ones right now.
Anyway, here's all the new images I've added today.
Oh, and I also inserted a new code the other day. It's a simple code, but what it does is get rid of the << Message Topic >> things that appeared under the banners on the site. It looks very nice without them now! Special thanks to Admin's Retreat, Valderra, for finding that code for me.

-Excellent news! I've finally figured out how to make images with invisible backgrounds! With this, a lot of customized images, including smilies, will be added in due time! I wasn't going to do those until I learned how to do this, but now that I have... well, joy! This will help make the site look a little better!
Already I have taken care of the Rescue Badges that are in place of the stars for ranking, and I'm working on new sets now! Hope you enjoy them!

-While I'm busy running around, trying to get more active members, I thought I'd go a little Christmasy and add some green and red to member ranks. Since we don't have the time to make a proper Holiday skin, that'll just have to do for this year. But hey! Maybe one I learn how to use Gimp properly, we'll have holiday skins to choose from when the time comes! But for now, these red and green member ranks will have to do and will remain up until January 1st.
-Also, the Store Thread is now open for business. I'm going to use the old-fashioned money system until all the bugs have been worked out of the Donation Money system.

-OK, so far, no go on the shop idea. I'm not good with codes and such, so I'm going to wait until Bulby can help me out. There are just too many symbols all over the place- I barely know which ones do which! (Hey, at least I figured out how to make the avatars come back)
-But in the mean time, I've started doing something I've been meaning to do for a long time- give our site Pokémon avatars from the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon game! As of now, I've got all the Bulbasuar avatars (meaning, I got all the emotions that Bulbasuar makes in the game) and added them to our gallery. I'm going to keep working on this until I've got every emotional avatar of the Pokémon in the game- I plan on doing Charmander next, followed by Squirtle and so on. So check the avatar list every now and then- we're getting a boat load of them!

-I'm now experimenting with a new code for the site- a store code! What this will do for us is that you'll be able to open up a store of your own in a new store thread (not open yet), and you'll be able to sell custom made images, avatars, signatures, user bars, and whatever else you can think of selling! You'll also be able to purchase custom titles, display name color changes, and stuff from the staff, too. Although, there appears to be a few bugs in the system that need to be ironed out first- as you can tell, we lost that PM box at the top and our avatars have disappeared... but we'll try to get this problem fixed ASAP! Until then, enjoy yourself and hope the money system works out in the end.

-Another minor update, but a nice little addition. To help make sure SOS codes are not mistaken for something else, I've censored the ( M), ( m), ( F), and ( f) so when someone inserts them (no spaces, of course) they show up as either
for the male symbol, and
for the female symbol.

-Though a minor update, I changed all the "e"s that appear on main sections of the forum with the "é" if they appear in the word "Pokémon"... it shows that I care. =D
-Other than that, progress is slow with the code genorator... it'll take awhile, but we'll keep trying.

-We found a code that will help us out with correctly inputting rescue mission SOS Mail codes. The thing is, this thing isn't made for forums, so there are a lot of bugs to iron out. Then we have to figure out the legal issues, so it won't be released until everything, both in the program and legal issues, has been ironed out and perfect. Stay tuned though and hope for the best...

-I was browsing through the code database in PB support and found a code that takes you directly to the oldest unread post. For example, if there is two new posts on a thread, when you click on the thread it won't take you to the top of a page, it will take you to the post that you haven't read yet.

-I have modified the S.O.S. Mail board so that even guests can request a rescue mission. That means that guests can post on the Guest Board and S.O.S. Board for help. It's so that way we can get at least a few more missions to do around here... I may change the S.O.S. Board a bit more and categorize it by level...
November 5, 2006:The Bulb-
-I replaced the new/no new post images with sprites of Squirtle and Blastiose on the water skin, Squirtle being no new posts and Blastiose being new posts. I'll resize the images so they aren't so big and get more sprites for the other skins.
-All Skin sprites completed.
-After I'm done with all of that, the next thing I'm going for is replacing the Home, Help, Search, etc. at the top with custom images. (An example would be what Chao Club has.)

-Sorry yet again, lots of things have been keeping me up. I went to see Flushed Away, reserved some Wii games for my birthday, went to Salt Grass, and had to make a graphic for a friend of mine. Basically you could call that "having a life without a life" lol.
