Not too often do you see these start popping up and there are three categories within these battle contests. We first have Regional, followed by National, and finally we have World Championship Tournament where only the best Pokémon trainers, and literally only the best, are able to participate in. And to make it clear, yes; I myself am going to attempt to join in this as well. It will be difficult to join as only a limited amount of people will be able to join in at each location. For myself, I will be trying to join in at the Phoenix Arizona Regional Tournament in efforts to get an invention to Nationals. I am promoting this event because of the magnitude that this could cause for us and, simply said, it will be fun. Even if you don't get anywhere, anyone who joins gets a free, promotional Shiny Milotic. So what harm can be done? Be sure to check the official website of all rules and regulations and if you think you have what it takes, take on the best!

Well. This would be fun, And not only that it'd help to think up of strategies when put in a corner. Do you know what kind of work out will we get with our brains!? *shot*
*cough* Anyways, it'd be a fun experience. And I can agree it'd help the site in a lot of ways.

I'm already going quite gung-ho with this... and I may not have all the time I need to get the Pokémon IVs I may want, but I'll get the best that I can. Getting a Pokémon EV Trained and up to level 50 will be no problem for me. But the IVs... take a long, long time.

You do realize it's in an area near you depending on which state you live. You don't need Wi-Fi, Lucan.

There are also defined rules as well. For example, the typical legendary Pokémon are banned (like Lugia, Mewtwo, Deoxys, ect) but, oddly, so is Tyranitar. Also, all Pokémon have to be level 50 or under; nothing over. It would be done using the non-Wi-Fi wireless connection (upstairs Pokémon Center) and there are no system formations to make all Pokémon be level 50, no matter what. So that, in itself, is a MUST.
Oh, and it looks like I got the OK from my mom to do this. I'm devising my team very carefully... I have to start from scratch since my current team is all level 100; figures. I spend forever getting near perfect IVs on my Pokémon, and by the time I get them all up and ready, I can't use them. LAME.

Looks like this is something I'm gonna save up some money and get myself ready for.
This also gives me an excuse to rebreed some of my Pokémon and use them for this competition, if I'm ready in time. (If I go to the Regional Touney in Dallas, I've got until May 30th to get ready.)
If the Movie 12 Arceus is released for the public before that date, I may just try to get in with a kick-ass Smeargle... (I just saw the front page of Serebii.net... Arceus with Judgement, Roar of Time, Spacial Rend and Shadow Force as its event moves... *faints*)

Sorry, Neos.
"Move Restrictions:
Pokémon may only use moves (including those learned in an earlier video game) which have been learned through one of the following methods:
* By leveling up * By TM or HM * As an Egg move, through breeding * From a Move Tutor * Already learned by a Pokémon, which was received at an official Pokémon event or promotion * Already learned by a Pokémon, which was received from another Pokémon game (such as the Pikachu that knows Surf, from Pokémon Battle Revolution) * By Smeargle’s “Sketch” move (limited to the above moves learned by Pokémon between 001 and 492)"
Arceus is 493.

That is why we all must learn to read the fine print. XD

CURSES, foiled again. >_<
I will die laughing if a Metronome-user triggers Judgement, though. XD (Though an EXTREMELY-small chance, Judgement CAN be Metronomed.)

There was a tournament in Texas a while back that I joined. There are a bunch of little kids in the first few rounds that are easy to pick off, but I got my ass handed to me by a 29 year old chick in the 6th round. I had learned about IVs from a friend, but All my IV training didn't pay off. (I didn't know about EVs, and, I had no sense of strategy. >_<)
Anyway, I didn't have a Lv50 limitation, also, legends were banned, but the lake trio, and Celebi were not. It was a different competetion, however, with hundreds of entrants. Also, it was a dual competition, featuring the TGC as well as the Video Games.
