Literate RP Board Returns

Alright, I'm going to bring back the Literate RP Board. Now I know most of you are going to be rolling in your graves, but I'm going to make this fair for everyone.

First, I'm going to have a perfectly clean slate here. The only member on the OK list will be me, because someone has to approve the other members! Not even Talim, or Dante, or any of the other staff will have access to this board.

If you want to become a member of the literate RP board, all you have to do is do one of the following.

1- Message me a story of good quality and of your own creation.

2- Fight my character, Felix Dranco, in a friendly duel. Win or lose, it won't matter if I deem you good enough.


Now, maybe one error that was made on Talim's part is she wasn't too confident herself. Give her time, for she's still new to being an admin. But if you don't make it, I will be more than willing to help you out so you can. I will give you opointers and examples of what you can do to better yourself as a role player. And until you are in the board, I won't stop helpyou as long as you are willing to help yourself.


But you see, the real reason I'm doing this is to obviously keep those who truely wish to have a good, solid story line from those who would rather party. If you want to do any sort of party role playing, the normal RP is good enough. But if you want to be in an area where it's a lot more relaxing so you can concentrate on your posts, the literate RP board will be for you.

It's just a matter of thinking. Just because you're not a member of the board doesn't mean you're bellow anyone. These people will have no staff privalges, will still be punished the same way if they break any rules, and of course will be given a talk-to if they get too cocky. Hell, they might be thrown off the list in general.

Either way, the literate RP Board is here to stay. If you got problems, forward your complaints to me and I will answer you in any way that I can.

Well, a root beer fight is something that can go in a normal RP board if you want. But the Literate RP board is not meant for parties or silly stuff- it's rather serious material. Having goofy topics here and there makes it a little hard to focus, you see.

But I am not denying anyone that role playing is prohibited! You can still RP however you choose in the normal threads! This will just work as a little coffee filter and make so we can role play in our prefered fashion in peace.

Believe me, I've been joking with waffles even before RTC was made. It was probably fellow Chao Club members that brought the weird thing over to here. Not that I disagree, beacuase waffles are great breakfast foods!

Anyway, waffles and rootbeer isn't exactly literate material, unless if it's part of the descriptive dialog of an overall story- not a primary focus. Example...





Felix sat outside the little country restueraunt, watching as the sun slowly fades over the hilltops and into the void. The summer season was over and the coming of thcold winter snow was to come. With every passing day, it only seemed to grow more frigid. But this was how the land itself was living- it changes every year like we do, for even the same tree is never the same twice in an eternity.

He had to get going now. He agreed to meet up with a long lost friend, Azura, and they would discuss the plans of what the Spartans may have in store. As he rose to his feet, something out of the corner of his eye caught his attention. By some bizaar twist of fate, a sign outside the small resteraunt displayed an unexpected special- a glass of rootbeer with a couple of hearty slices of waffles, drenched in your choice of maple, strawberry, or blueberry dressings. Foriegn culture was strange indeed...





See, that would be acceptible for a literate role play. You are able to sneek in a forum joke, but in a very clever manner.

Yeah, 'cept when I tried having a friendly, literate battle, it was actualy you who came in and acted against what the literate RP board was actualy made for by mocking a remark in your post.

Friendly warning P.G.- watch your back. You are actualy starting to get on a lot of members' nerves and you're spamming a whole lot. Maybe you don't think it's spam, but continuous repeating of what other members are saying and posts that are not truely realavent to the topic of the discussion is considered spam. Settle down and stop repeating what other people are saying, ok? If not, you may find yourself out of here rather quick.
