RP Concept: Grab Bag and Rental Pokémon

I was checking out the new RP in the forums at the bottom, and a few nice ideas occurred to me. Their details are at the bottom

Idea 1: Grab-bag (WIP)
Once a month (every first Saturday of the month), as long as you have +100 posts and have been active in the RP for at least one week, you can grab a free Pokémon from a thing called the Grab-bag. The Pokémon's gender, and nature will be random and their happiness will be 80, along with having a 1 in 90 chance of being shiny but will ALWAYS be level five. Staff will select your Pokémon for you, and starters, baby Pokémon, and rare Pokémon will have a 1n5 chance. (non Gen V Pokémon will be rarer [1n4 chance])

Idea 2: Rental Pokémon
In order to get a rental Pokémon, you must have +80 posts and must been active in the RP for one week. Along with that, you may have a rental Pokémon every two weeks; but rental Pokémon are temporary! They automatically disappear after three days, giving the whole emphasis on being a rental. However, rental Pokémon will cost you $300 to rent. What sort of Pokémon it is (baby, first evo, second evo, third/fourth evo, rare, branch evo) is random along with gender, level, nature, ability and moves being random too. However, rental Pokémon are more likely to know egg moves/TMs.

I was already coming up with plans to make non-Unova native Pokémon available in the Role Play (not like Pidgey because Pidgey CAN be found there... somehow. After beating the game). I was personally thinking of selling limited amounts of such-and-such Pokémon in a PokeMart for a reasonable price and it won't be showing up again for purchase for a while. Of course, it'd be a first come-first server basis. But when people reach the Daycare located on Route 3 and have their first gym badge, they can try to start breeding Pokémon and sell the baby Pokémon and Eggs for a profit if they so desired. Or just give it away. Their choice.


As for Rental Pokémon? I don't think so, not for the main adventure. Yeah, you're not going to have a lot of options to choose from with just TACKLE and TAIL WHIP, but neither will everybody else. Catching other Pokémon will be important and that's why you train. Rental Pokémon... no, it'd be a little too much work than what its worth. Maybe for special events where some people who want to join don't have the needed number of Pokémon. But for everyday use? No, I don't think it'll work as well as one might think.

If you take a look at everything that I've done, it is pretty hard not to think ahead like this. But with just Black & White not having full English names yet, not everything is exactly in yet and I'm making stuff on a need-it basis. Y'know, I'm not going to make the Elite 4 right now because nobody is going to be there for a while. I am going to base later things based on level growth later down the road, so some Gym Leaders may have different Pokémon in accordance to the level growth. I may also make it so Pokémon don't level as much later down the road as well to prevent over powering, ect.

I've just got so many things in my head running around.
