I was wondering how you get internet on your Wii. It would be nice if someone could explain how/where you download it. Thanks in advance!

If you have wireless internet, then you can hook it up in a similar way to the Nintendo DS. If not, you can go online via the USB port in the back of the Wii system. Though this is only a guess, this may work. I wouldn't know for sure because I have wireless at my house.
Get a USB cord and connect it to your Nintendo Wii. You then either conect the other end of the cord to the back of your modem or your computer. Go to the Wii Options on your Wii System (found in the bottem left-hand corner of the main screen) and go to the "Internet" option.
Three boxes will then come up which should be blank (or Empty or something). These show that no connection setting have been saved yet. Choose the first box and tell it you want to use a grounded connection (or something like that again. Just don't use the wireless). It'll then give you some options, I would guess, but just go with the defult to make it easier on yourself. It'll then test the connection. If the connection is successful, go to another option in the set-up area (the area where the "Internet" option was found at. Once again, bottem left-hand corner of the main screen). Go to an option called "System Updates". Once you do, it'll most likely update your Wii with these features.
-Wii Shop Channel
-Wii Weather Channel
-Wii News Channel
Once they have finished installing, go to the Wii Shop Channel and hook up to the internet. When the Shop Channel screen comes up, click the link you see there. The next screen will show you a couple of options, the two with a picture in them will say "Vitual Concil" with a picture of the classic controler attachment, and the otherone saying "Software" with a picture of the Wii. Choose Software and download the Internet Channel which is free of charge. Download it and it'll automaticly install.
Return to the main menu and you'll notice the Internet Channel has been added to your list of Channels. Choose that, and surf the Internet on you TV.

Ohhhh, thanks! The USB Connector is a life saver for me. No wireless at my house. I've got it up and updating. Since our internet disconnects itself after 20 minutes of doing nothing, and the Big Game is on, I get some forced Internet time with no distractions!

Ah, so what I guess was accurate then? Well, that's good to hear!

Yeah, after I read this, I double checked on Nintendowifi.com to be sure. After that my Dad took me to get the connector. I guess it's sort of a good thing I couldn't pick up my homework from school when I was sick on Thursday and Friday.

I bought the thing recently at the mall when I went over today. But I get an error message when uploading. And it makes me mad.
I want my damn Onion Knight job, (insert numerous expletives here)!

Be patient, and call the customer help line. I mean be patient because it took a freakishly long time to update. (EIGHT HOURS!)

Eight hours? You serious? It didn't even take me half as long, much less an hour in total!

I mean that the error message I get is to insert the USB connector, even though it's already in there already.

I'm dead serious, I don' t kid about 8 hours on the internet straight. I have Dial-Up so, yeah. Try putting it into the port on your computer, and use the cord that comes with it.

Oh, you have dial-up. That would explain it. XP
