is it a bad thing to evolve your Pokémon??? like is thier a certain time when it is best to evolve it???

Sorta, for some Pokémon its best to NEVER evolve it, like Cubone.

But overall, it's all on prefrences. I, myself, have decided to never evolve myself out of my Squirtle stage.
I got to Gold Rank as a Squirtle and I'll go beyond.

MD has some differnt things it's not the same as the gameboy ones.

I would say it depends on the Pokémon. For example charzard can learn at level 1 heat wave. witch can hit all of the poke in the room. So that could be a good reason. I myself have evolved my Pokémon scince they get stronger and may look cooler.
