I prefer Scyther because he's got the speed and the looks. It all says "silent killer".
Plus mantises are cool.

Scizor is more of a flying bug-man thing so I prefer Syther,but Scizor's are cool to.

That reminds me - another reason why I prefer Scyther over Scizor. Scyther's immune to Earthquake, while Scizor takes 100% damage (Bug resistance nulled by Steel weakness).
So while the Scizor trainer's wondering why his Scizor got knocked out by the Ground type, the Scyther trainer's laughing at the failed Earthquake while his Scyther hovers in the air.

But you can't forget...Isn't Scizor one of the only Pokémon able to learn false swipe? A Pok?Dex completers Dream?

Isn't Scizor one of the only Pokémon able to learn false swipe? Completely untrue! Scyther and Scizor have identical level up moves. The only difference between their movesets is that Scyther learns the awesome Wing Attack at level 26, while Scizor gets the much less awesome Metal Claw at level 26. And False Swipe is learned by a multitude of Pokémon besides these two. (They get False Swipe at 16) The list of Pokémon that learn it through level up are as follows: Farfetch'd (46) Cubone (33) Marowak (39) Scyther (16) Scizor (16) Grovyle (53) Sceptile (59) Nincada (25) Zangoose (55) Personally, though, the Pok?Dex completer's dream is currently in my team - a Breloom with Spore and False Swipe. While I would've used a Parasect with those moves instead, the mushroom bug has a double weakness to Flying AND Fire. I prefer one or the other, thank you. |

Scizor is better because steel type Pokémon are rare and powerful. Bragging rights and power, what's better than that?  |
