Okay, I know just about everyone's got a funny unplanned incident that ha happened in a game or two and I have two favorites to tell.
First of all: Whoever dubbed Mawhile the Deciever Pokémon called it right, because even I was fooled. I thought it was a Dark Pokémon, so I felt no problems using it againt Flannery's Fire Pokémon. It was only after the end of the match that I looked at her stats, because I whooped Flannery on the first try with that baby. Imagine my surprise when I realized that I whooped three Fire Pokémon with a Steel-type... My Mawhile had definately earned the nickname I had given her at the time, Deception...
Second of all: This was definately a case of me NOT paying attention. I had raised a Beautifly and a Dustox, not realizing that they were of the opposite genders and decided to raise their level via daycare. Well, I would often visit, because I knew they leveled up faster, when I decided to speak to the old man that also raised the Day Care Pokémon. When I got the firt egg, I shrugged and thought 'So they like each other, big deal.' It was a big deal because those two were busy! I've had several cases of those two popping out three or four eggs at a time! After getting 20 of those eggs, I went 'Screw this' and pulled them out of the Day Care. I never DID hatch those eggs, because I REALLY didn't want to raise all of them...

My story is sorta like yours, except I didn't give it anytime.
I was breeding a couple of Marils to get an Azurill and left them there for awhile while I went off to to some random thing (like poke my Pikachu with a stick or something, since I beat the game and was no in my "Must complete Pok?Dex!" mood in the game.
I came back a little while later to see that there was an egg there. I thought "sweet. Now that I have the egg, I'll go in and get them out so I won't have anymore eggs." So I went straight into the daycare to pickup my Marrils. When I talked to the old lady, she said that her husband was outside waiting for me and I couldn't pick them up yet. You know what that means! There was another egg waiting for me!
Now note this was between the time when I picked up the first egg and walking inside about 3 steps to get my Pokémon, only to find there was ANOTHER egg made in that time!
So, it turned out I got Azuril twins, one a boy and the other a girl. They hatched only mere moments after the other. And since it was kinda special to have "twins", I named them "Phil" and "Lil" because that was the only tiwn name I could think up of. =P

It's funny you mentionied that, Squirtle, because I got seven eggs from that exact situation. I had a box-and-a-half filled with nothing but their eggs.

Oh, yeah. This one time, I was at my grandmother house playing Pokémon Yellow because it was a 5 years my senior uncle let me borrow it because I had just got a Gameboy Color. So I was walking around with my Pikachu & I really had to use the restroom. Being eight & not having common sence, I placed the Gameboy on top of the toilet. After I finished urinating & flush the toilet, & I began to close the toilet seat, knocking the GBC in the toilet ruining the GBC forever. On a good note, the game still worked. Cons: Every time I tell people this, they call me a dumbass & laugh at me.

I have One to okay one Time I was Raising my 2 Raichu's with a Light Ball to get a Pichu with Volt Tackle & I "Lost' My Game for 2 Weeks but the Truth was my Brother Had it for 2 weeks without ever taking out the Raichu's & the Day I got it Back from him I got 7 Boxes Full of Pichu Eggs with Volt Tackles & Now I have to Find trainers who want Pichus in the Union Rooms & by Wi-Fi Trading & Still I have 6 1/2 Boxes Full of Pichus....God that Sucks

Hmm, weird thing...
When I caught a Pokémon for a friend that she couldn't catch on her game.
She then tells me after I do it: "Why is it a different color then normal?"
0_o Freaking shiny Pokémon appering in her game and not on mine. Didn't even know it was XD

One Day I put in a lvl 38 Ditto with a a lvl 5 Charmander and I forgot about em.
1 Month Later I remembered about them and when I took them out Charmander was Lvl 65 and Ditto was lvl 83 LOL

Talk to the dude in Brock's gym. That's the WTF. If you don't want to waste time, after you beat him, this is what he said. "You're hot.... But not as hot as Brock!" He scares me.
