How to clone Pokémon in 10 easy steps
BUT
To clone in emerald you need To Have gotten the battle frontier
Anyways
1: you go to the Battle tower PC
2: you deposit the Pokémon you want to clone
3: Save the game don't turn off
4: Withdraw the Pokémon you want to clone
5: talk to the LINK MULTI BATTLE lady
6: enter any two Pokémon
7: When she says would you like to save say yes
8: if done correctly there should be a small time gap
9: When she says Do you want to overwrite an existing file
Turn off the game.
10: Turn it back on and there should be the Pokémon you cloned in your PC where you deposited him and in your party
I might have mixed up steps 2 and 4 so if it dosn't work the first time try mixing up those 2 steps
