Starting Your Adventure
These pictures are dedicated to the overworld portion of the adventure. Many pictures may come with captions to explain some better detail.
>>Mom Gives You Menu Options<<
Note: There is no longer a proper "pause" menu like you saw in the other Pokémon games, as now everything is on the bottom screen. You first start out with none, but once you head downstairs, your mom gives you the menu options of "Bag," "Trainer Card," "Save," and "Options."
>>Your Friend's Marill<<
Note: Despite what gender you choose, the owner of this Marill is always the opposite sex trainer. They'll probably play a similar role to the opposite gender trainer in D/P/Pt, so chances are low you never battle against them.
>>Prof. Elm's Lab<<
Note: Same as from the original G/S/C games, you go to Prof. Elm's lab to get your first Pokémon and he asks you to run an errand for him. And yes, he is obviously the wimpests looking one out of all the professors. I bet he uses a pocket protector and often got shoved in lockers during his school years.
>>Chikorita<<
>>Cyndaquil<<
Note: This is the Pokémon I started with. I nick-named him "Rich" as reference to one of my friends. After getting your starter, a menu button to check out your team becomes available.
>>Totodile<<
>>Get Your PokeTech<<
Note: After you choose your starter, but before you leave town, you have to see your mom and she'll give you the PokeTech. A menu buttom becomes available on the lower screen.
>>Prof. Elm's Number<<
Note: After getting the PokeTech and about to leave town, Prof. Elm stops you to give you his phone number.
>>Hanging Out on the First Route<<
>>A Wild PIDGEY appeards!<<
>>The Old Man of Cherrygrove City<<
Note: If you recall from the original G/S/C version, this old man was near the entrance of the town then. It was optional to talk to him then and if you did, he'd get you a Map Ap. for your PokeTech. This time, you're forced to talk to him.
>>Recived the Running Shoes<<
Note: After the old man shoes you around town, he gives you a pair of Running Shoes. Hold down B to run, but touching the new shoe icon on the touch screen will lock it, making it so you always run. This old man still gives you the Map Ap. for your PokeTech, but only once you head north out of town like as-if he almost forgot.

Menus & PokeTech
This area is dedicated to screenshots of menu screens and such. Some captions are added to explain the picture better.
>>Pokémon Team Screen<<
>>Meet Rich the Cyndaquil 1<<
Note: This page shows you misc. info about your Pokémon, let where you met it, what level you met it, OT, ID No., personality, and so on.
>>Meet Rich the Cyndaquil 2<<
Note: This page shows your Pokémon's stats and attacks it currently has learned.
>>Meet Rich the Cyndaquil 3<<
Note: This page appears to be dedicated to ribbons won and possibly, later on, stats for the Pokethalon since Pokémon Contests probably don't appear in the game.
>>Item Screen<<
Note: Obviously a new lay-out. Also note that after you recive your starter Pokémon, Prof. Elm's assistant gives you five potions to start out with.
>>PokeTech Phone and Blue Theme<<
Note: This screen is the first screen you usually see when you check out your PokeTech. Phone numbers from various characters are stored here. Also note the blue color theme; your PokeTech comes with a total of six different themes to help it match your style.
>>PokeTech Map<<
Note: The map is bit more useful in this game as opposed to D/P/Pt. You can leave markers and specific notes about areas, such as where Pokémon can be found, berry trees found, and whatever else you might use as a memo.
